original characters - work in progress

yet another project that i'm working on right now...trying to think of ways to approach painting this one, for now decision making and a little bit of cleanup.

a character concept i've been messing with for a while.  another photoshop skills test.   might have overdone it a bit with the lighting though.

the previous image i was very unhappy with...so i made some changes.  Even though the changes were made, this is far from over.   it started as a speedpaint, but then i couldn't stop

WIP (aka loss of sanity)

decided to do (yes yet another ) fanart of one of my favorite video game heroines.   mostly did this to increase my understanding of form,  color,  light, and composition.  still really rough, so still full of flaws, yet I think It's coming along well, i just have to do some polishing up.  The end result will pay off I think :).

I've become such a game of thrones fanatic that i just thought it'd be interesting to give that touch to one of the most beloved characters in video game history.  still rough  & some fine tuning that I need to do with this.  painting coming soon to a monitor near you !

SKETCH DUMP #1

Got this program called Alias Sketchbook Pro.  It's really cool.    Just wanted to get a feel for the program, so I messed around with it, and at the same time managed to get some sketching done.  These were just some ideas that i was fiddling around with....stay tuned.

CHARACTER STUDY !!!!

just a brief photoshop color study of a character that I created for a story that i'm going to be putting together soon.   i'll probably give the same treatment to the other charcters that I created.  overall, i'm pretty satisfied with this speed painting, it definetly gave me some ideas of what my real strengths and weaknesses are.  

I haven't been putting this blog to good use, as i don't much have the time.   I was finally able to get the week off from both of my jobs, though sadly i'm only going to be paid this week from one.  Anyway, i'm re-doubling my efforts to get some work done, hopefully it will take me places.
